For the first time in over 20 years




I ate a gem squash, grown in my own garden!
(keeping mum about where I got the five seeds...)




Sliced in half, carefully saved the seeds (for next year, you understand!).
Then a pat of butter, sprinkling of salt, pepper, nutmeg and steamed it till it was soft and buttery.
Sheer perfection!!

Took a spoon and ate it.
Bite by delicious bite.
Divine!!!

I am in heaven!
